a few weeks ago, i was really craving red vines. i went to 3 different stores in one night. none of which sold red vines, just twizzlers. don't get me wrong, i do like an occasional twizzler, but not this time.
the next morning i asked my co-workers why no stores sold red vines. their response? "what are red vines?"
seriously, people???
so, today i went to rite aid {i finally found a store that carries them} and took a bag to work. the introduction didn't go as well as i had hoped.
my boss said, "they taste just like twizzlers".
my co-worker said, "this is poor people licorice".
and my other co-worker said, "they're alright, but twizzlers are better".
pittsburgh people are bizarre.

That is crazy to me! I can't stand Twizzlers, just thinking about the flavor makes me sick to my stomach. Red Vines are so much better! And your co-workers comments crack me up. :)
This totally made me laugh because we could never find Red Vines in NY until Target came to town. We would come back from Utah with our suitcases full of Red Vines.
I like Red Vines okay at the movies, but Twizzlers (strawberry flavor) are definitely better than red vines. Of course black licorice is better either way.

I completely agree! I do NOT like Twizzlers unless there is absolutely no option! Red Vines are so soft, and the flavor totally delish :)
"Yinz" can just keep those Twizzlers. Yuck. They do NOT taste the same. I love me some Red Vines, especially in the big tub from Costco. Er, not that I'd ever eat that much by myself. Ahem.
What a fun post! Totally Red Vines all the way and especially in the big tubs, reminds me of trips to Lake Powell. I would choose cherry Nibs before I ate a Strawberry Twizzler.
Now I have a pregnancy craving!
I think both are pretty gross. But if I had to choose, I would go with Red Vines. But I think I would have to be on a deserted island with no other food options before I would eat them.
