Recipe Tuesday

Tuesdays are by far the worst day of the week for me. I don't know what it is, but I think it's always been that way. Mondays fly by.... and Tuesdays are a complete DRAG. So, here's to crappy Tuesdays... I'm gonna try and share a new recipe with ya'll every week.

I made these last night for FHE. YUMMO. Healthy? No... Delicious? Absolutely!

Carmelitas

2 cups flour
2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cubes melted butter
11 oz milk chocolate chips
1 jar Mrs. Richardson's butterscotch caramel

Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda. Mix Well. Add melted butter and mix. Take half the batter and press into a 9 x 13 pan (spray it with Pam). Bake for 17 minutes at 325 degrees. Take out - spread chocolate chips and then caramel. Sprinkle with the rest of the batter. Bake for another 17 minutes at 325 degrees. Let sit for 3-4 hours (if you're in a hurry you can put it in the freezer for about an hour and a half and it'll be good). Cut and enjoy!

Yum! I'm also scared to make these. I'm one of those people who "accidentally" eats all of the treats before I deliver them to the neighbors. Thanks for sharing the recipe! I'll have to make these.

Hey girly, thanks for leaving a comment and yes this wait is about to KILL me! He has to come out sometime right?! ;)

Oh yes I went to the Dr. Phil show. Aside from them showing my embrassing reactions on national television it was a blast. It was like a year and a half ago though. We got to stay for two taping. One where Dr. Phil and Robin did a show on Breast Cancer (it was a giveaway show, we got designer earring, new shoes, her book and a t-shirt) it was awsome and then the 2nd taping was the one where guys have cheated on their wives. It was a popular one, they've re-ran it a couple times, it's where the black guy who cheated on his pretty wife is getting grilled by doctor phil and he freaks out and rips his mircophone off and storms off stage. It was very intense being in the audience. Dr. Phil stopped taping and apologized. It was way cool though, it's worth the experience. Tickets are free. I went with the military wives club but anyone can get free tickets and I live here so you have a place to stay:)

Well, besides the cookies looking SO dang YUMM... your GNO (sweet acronym by the way) sounds SO dang fun! I'm totally jealous! My friends and I were actually trying to plan the same thing up in PC this next month- it's so dang hard to coordinate with people though, especially pepes with newborns? Anyways, sounds like fun. ANd ps- I would TOTALLY love to get together some time- you'll have to give me a call when you're at Missy's one day:)
