It's only the second week!

And I've already slacked off on my 'Recipe Tuesday'. Man, I suck. I usually do my best posting @ work, but work has been carazy! (My friend co-worker is on maternity leave and I am absorbing all of her repsonsibilities. Yikes!) Anyhoo.... Here's another one of my favorite recipes. The husband and I love these. You can either do them stovetop, or crock pot. I prefer to cook them in the crockie all day whilst working and then come home and all I have to do is take them out, throw some Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce on them and toss 'em in the oven for hubby and me.

Dr Pepper Ribs

Ingredients
8 country style pork spare ribs (I like boneless)
1 (2 liter) bottle Dr. Pepper, NOT diet
5 garlic cloves, slightly smashed
1 tbsp. liquid smoke
1 large onion, quartered
your favorite barbecue sauce (Love me some Sweet Baby Ray's)

1. Place ribs in large stock pot. Pour Dr. Pepper over ribs to cover. Add garlic, liquid smoke and onion. Bring to boil, lower to simmer and cook until ribs are tender.
2. Place ribs in baking pan. Pour barbecue sauce on ribs.
Bake at 350 F. for about 30 to 45 minutes.

Yummo!! Maybe I'll make those tomorrow. You're always my light bulb for what to make when I think there's nothing else that sounds good. Although I have this recipe in my file, it sounds better when you say it;)

Mmmmm... This looks sooo good!! I like to cook a roast in the crock pot with 2 cans of coke and a packet of onion seasoning mix. It sounds a little similiar. Anyway, thanks for your comment! And yes, I want to see you guys soon, it's honestly been way too long!!

You remember Kurt? I see Ash quite a bit-she is having a baby in March. Both of us have been trying for at least a year-both on Clomid-guess she beat me to it. I am happy for her though. So what's new? Where do you live? what do you do?

I loved the Carmelita recipe. We ate the entire dish in three days. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to make anymore of your treats. I think I gained 5 lbs. Sure were Yummy though!
