what's your secret?

something must be seriously wrong with you if this isn't your favorite time of year. i love the vibrant trees, the fall festivities, the carving of pumpkins, the crisp air, soup, i love it all.

the trees back east are incredible! i can't wipe the smile off my face as i walk and drive through this place this time of year. the foliage is full of life and color.

i don't know about you, but it is so easy for me to fall into bad habits around this time. the air turns cool, the home-baked goods surface, and the walks & bike rides come to a screeching halt. so, i need your secrets. how do YOU stay motivated throughout the holidays to be healthy?

I don't stay motivated, the end. Oh & yes, the trees are a force to be reckoned with. Stunning. wait for spring, your heart will belong to the trees...

I wish I had some advice for you, but I'm one of the more unhealthy people I know. This year is worse than ever before too because cookies and baked goods are becoming too hard to resist.

I heard you guys went on a really pretty drive and saw a gorgeous cemetary? I'd love to see some pictures! You should post them here or on your Facebook page.

The fall colors have been gorgeous the past week here as well. I wish we could have come out and seen them there, though. Maybe next year! But now the snow is piling on top of the leaves and winter is starting. I don't think I'm ready! Enjoy the last few weeks of fall-like weather!

Weigh myself every week. That's the only thing that helps me. The scale doesn't lie!!!

I am loving fall here, it is so gorgeous, especially when the sun shines! I have no secret because I don't exercise and I don't diet. Sorry, let me know what you learn and I will try to be better!

I am a wimpy holiday person too but I have to agree with the previous comment about the scale. If you weight yourself every day or every couple days you will be very on top of how much you are gaining or not gaining. It works for me!

I lay on my bed and do crunches while I watch The Biggest Loser. Then I eat Oreos for breakfast the next day.

McCall you are so cute. I'm glad you love it there. Umm... to stay motivated?? Maybe have a subscription to SHAPE magazine and look through the pictures every morning? I think I will try that :) But like you need to worry... silly woman.

I start getting depressed if I don't feel the sunshine on my face. But exercising helps that. So when Kurt asks if I want to go to the gym, my first response is ALWAYS "No." But then I do it anyway. and I feel so much better.
